What is flannel?
Flannel is the name of a fabric that can be made from cotton or wool. The fabric is woven using the standard plain weave technique and is subsequently treated in a machine that brushes the surface of the fabric, which feels soft and comfortable. The word flannel derives from both French (flanelle) and Celtic (vlan) in the sense of a wool fabric.
How do I best care for my flannel garments?
To maintain the character of the fabric and avoid pilling, wash your flannel garments gently and preferably allow them to hang dry.
